Breaking Bad Habits - Build New Goals - Part I

I think that bad alternatives and bad habits are what brought me for this point-day after day and year after I hit rock-bottom. That is always the way in which it's and was until July 20th, 1979.

Learning how to free by myself from good habits starts off with the conclusion that individuals cause our very own feelings. I am the main cause of my very own problems. The moment I grasp that reality, I'm willing to step in to the procedure for self-change that will result in freedom from the habits that keep me from living a far more satisfying life. And when I am clear of my bad habits, individuals around me is going to be free from anyone I used to be.

Everyone can lead to changes in themselves. But releasing your-self from a self-destructive habit like smoking or as in my situation, drinking, needs a deep, long-lasting change. A bad habit is like an iceberg. You can not overcome the habit if you approach it as if it were only as large as what you can see at first glance.

Franz Kafka explained, 'a book should be the guitar to the frozen sea within us.' Any book or program that seeks to assist people break bad habits must reveal the complete iceberg that lies below the top.

You can't eliminate everything in one day, but if you take a detail by detail approach, you can eliminate the bad habit earlier than you thought possible. It's likely to just take effort on your part.

I'd to get the hard way then and even after 29 years of being sober today, I still there and then possess the feeling to be caught. No advance since 30 years? No, not at all but with my wrong attitude towards my inner self, being the master of the world, which I´m not I always have to think with that stupid and wrong behavior.Being an addict means to be such a life time long and the only chance I have to put that in to my mind and brain like a sheer and unbeatable fact.

You can't drink or eat whatever you want and remain sober or loose weight, regardless of how often you hear it on the talk shows. But you can reduce fat, and you can learn to enjoy healthier foods a lot more than the unhealthy foods you are eating now. And the exact same that is good for alcoholic drinks. You can't drink alcohol but you can drink all the other sweet and sweetened beverages without alcohol, do not you?

Being drunk and dependent on liquor was a constructed a verbal cage for myself. My definition of the situation seemed to give no choice; to me I avoided having to take responsibility for myself. To have the benefits that include medical awareness, warm showers, clean clothes, a bed, daily meals, companionship, and as much aid as a social worker may give me,the ticket to freedom. I'd to break out of the cage.
